New Volunteer Inquiries-
We are excited to welcome our volunteers back to the Animal Rescue League of Marshalltown! With our new Volunteer & Community Outreach Coordinator, Heather, leading the way, we’re looking forward to building a strong and engaged volunteer community. Volunteers play a vital role in helping us care for both the animals and the shelter itself. Opportunities include housekeeping, yard work, facility maintenance, animal care and enrichment, assisting with events, supporting our Pet Food Pantry, and many other tasks that keep our shelter running smoothly. Whether you’re returning or joining us for the first time, we’re grateful for your time, energy, and dedication to improving the lives of animals in our care.
The Animal Rescue League of Marshalltown accepts individuals who are required to complete court-ordered community service hours. All participants must be pre-approved by our Volunteer & Community Outreach Coordinator, prior to beginning their service. Community service assignments focus on essential support tasks such as housekeeping, yard work, & facility maintenance.
Completion of hours is documented and verified by shelter staff to ensure compliance with court requirements.
We love our customers, so feel free to visit during normal business hours from Tuesday through Friday from 11- 5 p.m. or Saturday from 11 - 4 p.m.
