Meet Bruce, a sweet senior boy whose gentle spirit has remained strong despite everything he has endured.
Bruce was found alone on a gravel road, and based on his condition, we believe he may have been dumped. His fur was so severely matted around his face that his eyes couldn’t even be seen. He may be blind or losing his vision—but that didn’t stop him from greeting his rescuers with kisses and snuggling into the arms of those who came to help him.
Our team spent two hours carefully shaving the painful mats from his face, legs, and even between his toes. Afterward, Bruce received a warm, medicated bath and was finally able to rest comfortably.
Bruce has now been examined by a veterinarian and received a clean bill of health! His past may be a mystery, but one thing is clear: this loving senior deserves to spend the rest of his life feeling safe, comfortable, and deeply loved. Bruce is ready to leave his difficult days behind and begin the next—and best—chapter of his story.
