Microchip Ordinance Update
As part of updated City animal ordinances, all dogs and cats over six months of age are now required to be microchipped. Microchips help lost pets return home faster and improve identification and vaccination compliance. If a stray animal is brought to the Animal Rescue League of Marshalltown without a microchip, an additional fee may be applied at the time of reclaim to help cover the cost of microchipping and registration before the pet is returned home.

To better serve our pets & community, we are having an inservice for our Shelter Staff. During this time the shelter will be closed to the public. There will be staff available for urgent matters.
